VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE
Matthew is a Sophomore in Quincy House and does not yet know his concentration. Growing up in Deerfield, Illinois, he became interested in economics while in high school. Matthew's involvement outside of HUEA includes serving on the dais of a committee for the Harvard Model United Nations high school conference, creating informative presentations on elephant conservation for Ugandan children through the Harvard College Conservation Society, and promoting voter registration among other initiatives through the Community Action Committee at the Institute of Politics. Two of Matthew's specific interests in economics are education markets and foreign direct investment, and he especially hopes to use the former interest to reduce cycles of poverty and the latter interest to bolster the economies of less economically developed countries.
